Course Description

Subjects in the astronomy portion of this course include interpretation of the night sky, the nature of the universe, galaxies, astronomical measurement/evaluation/theory, the anatomy of stars, comets, asteroids, meteorites, the solar system, heliocentric and other historical views of the universe, important astronomers, the Apollo missions and the Space Shuttle, and the Solar System. The geology portion of this course focuses on weather , seasonal patterns and definitions, plate tectonics, mountain building, fossilization, and more.
